Magic Japanese slimming gimmicks

The dark side has been strong this week. So strong that I now feel the need to share these two great products I discovered on the weekend.

1. Slim Mouth Piece

This little gem of a product puzzled me when I first saw it. “What the hell is that!?” – I asked Bento girl. The picture (which you can see) doesn’t really communicate to me its purpose other than perhaps as some joke you play on people.

Well, I was told, by Bento girl with a straight face, that this product helps people strengthen their facial muscles (like it says) and helps you keep/maintain a cute mouth. Right…

The second gem I discovered – also in the same shop – is this Su-Ha diet device.

At first I thought this is a pez dispenser and didn’t understand how this product has anything to do with diet – giving you diet pez, maybe?

The description on the package says: To lose weight, suck air (hard) through this little device 30 times a day.

I can only imagine with the pain you go through to do this 30 times a day, you would be so fucken depressed with yourself that you simply would not want to eat (and possibly too tired) or breath anymore.
